# Install Scape Optimizer on your device

Use the browser install option or iPhone and iPad Home Screen steps, with clear connection limits.

## Install from a supporting browser

Open the Scape Optimizer app in your browser. When that browser offers installation, Install app appears at the bottom of the app navigation. Choose it and complete the browser's installation prompt.

The control depends on the browser offering installation and is hidden when the app is already installed. If it is not shown, use the browser's own install option when available, or continue using the website.

On a narrow screen, choose Open navigation in the app header to reach the navigation footer. Installation adds a standalone app window or launcher shortcut; it does not create another account.

## Add the app on iPhone or iPad

In Safari, tap Share and choose Add to Home Screen. The app's Add to Home Screen control expands these instructions; it does not install automatically.

Open the new Home Screen icon, then sign in if that window needs your account session. Your saved characters remain associated with the same Scape Optimizer account.

## Keep a connection for saved work and game data

Installation does not enable full offline calculation. The app keeps public app assets and a reconnect page, but does not cache account workspaces, bank data, market data or completed searches for offline access.

If A connection is needed appears, reconnect and choose Try again. If a calculator window is already open when the connection fails, keep it open to retain its current in-memory work and wait for saves to complete after reconnecting.

App updates wait for open app windows or tabs to close rather than force-reloading active work. Finish saving or export the comparison before closing all app windows when you want an update to take effect.

> An installed app still needs the network to load the current app, game catalogues and saved character. Installation is optional; the online browser app remains available.
