# Navigate the app and choose a theme

Find each workspace, switch color themes and know which preferences save with a character.

## Move between the app workspaces

The app navigation contains DPS calculator, Best setups, Flipping, Boss trainers, Guides, Saved loadouts and About & data. On a narrow screen, choose Open navigation in the header, then choose the workspace you want.

DPS calculator is for comparisons you build yourself. Best setups searches candidates. Saved loadouts contains both the character editor and the reusable Loadout library; About & data explains calculation sources and provides downloads.

The Scape Optimizer brand control returns to DPS calculator. Switching pages keeps the working comparison, but leaving Boss trainers clears its temporary practice session.

## Choose dark or light

Dark is the default. Use Toggle theme in the app header to switch between dark and light. Its tooltip says Switch to light theme or Switch to dark theme for the next action.

The app's theme and selected page are saved with the signed-in character's workspace preferences. A guest's choice is temporary. The public website has its own color-theme setting; changing it does not change the app character's theme.

## Know what carries between visits

Signed-in character preferences include the selected workspace, purchase budget, equipment ownership and exclusions, raid choices, trainer settings and flipping settings. Comparison loadouts and the target save alongside them.

These saved settings are different from temporary UI state and activity. Open dialogs, a trainer's live positions and practice history, and the assistant conversation do not become a permanent character history.

Choose the intended character before changing settings, then check All changes saved. Export workspace preserves the comparison and target, not all of these preferences.
