Practice boss timing in the trainers

Use Verzik and Xarpus drills with input delay, timing cues and a practice-session review.

Choose a focused drill

Open Boss trainers and choose Verzik P3, Verzik P2 or Xarpus. P3 practices step-under tanking before enrage at seven ticks or after enrage at five ticks. P2 practices bomb movement, bounce avoidance and scythe or whip attack cycles.

Xarpus practices the poison phase with a fixed scythe loadout. Choose 5t · planned rag for a steady five-tick rhythm, or 5.3t · 5 / 5 / 6 for a repeating five-, five-, six-tick rhythm. The 5.3t label is an average; actions still use whole 600 ms game ticks.

Set input delay and use the arena

Latency / input delay adds the selected delay before gameplay inputs become eligible. They then take effect on the next eligible 600 ms game tick, so the same delay can produce different outcomes depending on when you click. Camera controls respond immediately.

Input-delay defaults are 100 ms for P3 and Xarpus, and 50 ms for P2. Pause freezes simulation time and pending input delays. Hidden pages and browser stalls longer than two seconds pause automatically; resume explicitly.

  1. Choose a drill and adjust Latency / input delay with the number field, slider or presets.
  2. Click the floor to move and the boss to attack. In P2, click inside the arena to begin.
  3. Middle-drag or use arrows / WASD to rotate the camera; scroll to zoom. On touch screens, drag and pinch.
  4. Use Pause or Resume for a break, Reset for a fresh attempt, and Full screen for more room.
  5. In P3, Shift-click to walk underneath; right-click for attack, movement and tile marking. Use Settings for client hotkeys and sounds.

Use feedback to improve the next attempt

Live cues and the toolbar countdown help you prepare for target checks or impacts. Practice session below the arena records attempt totals, mistakes and recent feedback. In Xarpus 5t, some pool damage is expected when reusing a planned tile; read the explanation rather than treating every damage event as the same mistake.

Reset or switching trainers finishes the current attempt while keeping the session. New session clears tracking and starts fresh. Recent history is limited to 20 attempts and 40 feedback events; session totals continue to accumulate.

Choose visual and sound aids

Use Options on a small screen to open the trainer controls. P2 offers Weapon, Tile markers, tile/path overlays, colors and Volume. Scythe uses a five-tick cooldown and whip a four-tick cooldown; observed safe movement gaps are not automatically mistakes.

In Xarpus, Tile guides & attack timer, Show path and Show poison control overlays. Practice sound sets the cue volume. Cyan marks attack tiles, gold marks step-back tiles, pink marks planned 5t rag tiles, and white marks routes to keep clear. The practice chirp and cyan flash lead the spit check by one tick.

In 5t, the fourth hit uses a planned rag tile before stepping away; some pool damage is expected when that tile is reused. In 5.3t, step back for the four-tick spit checks. Review Controls & practice notes and Mistakes, recent feedback & attempts for the selected drill.

The trainer client’s existing Metronome toggle in Settings adds an audio tick beat and is off by default. It is separate from game sounds and the Xarpus one-tick practice chirp.
