Find a strategy or money-making guide
Open Guides and choose Strategies or Money-making. Use Find a guide to search the cached titles and categories, then select an article. Previous and Next move through result pages. Wiki category opens the original category, and Read on OSRS Wiki opens the full article.
Use Ask AI beside the selected guide to request its advice, requirements and relationship to your current setup. Assistant sign-in and availability still apply. The guide reader shows readable headings, prose and table text; images and interactive elements are omitted.
Check saved dates, revisions and update status
The guide index and each opened article use a shared 24-hour cache. Saved is when Scape Optimizer fetched that copy; Edited and Revision identify the source article revision. These dates can differ because template values such as prices may change without an article edit.
Check for updates reads the shared cache and checks whether an update is eligible. Next update check shows when that check can be made. After expiry, a read can start one refresh while the previous copy remains visible. Updating shared cache, Older cached copy or Last saved copy describes the current state.
A failed refresh retains the saved copy and the daily retry cooldown. Reloading, reopening a guide or repeating an assistant question does not bypass it. If there is no saved copy, try again when eligible or open the original source.
Check assumptions and dates
Money-making rates are the Wiki’s estimates under its stated assumptions. Current prices, requirements and your results may differ. Treat retained Risky and Obsolete labels as part of the advice.
Market data is a shared snapshot with a daily upstream refresh-attempt limit; even failed refreshes start the cooldown and leave the previous data available. Check both the snapshot date and individual quote times. Reload cached prices in Flipping reads the snapshot without making a new upstream request.
Combat results use the pinned OSRS Wiki engine and versioned catalogue for the selected settings. Practical fight time still depends on movement, mechanics, attack downtime and consistency; a completed search does not prove all live-game mechanics or prices are current.
Find sources and understand access
About & data provides engine attribution, source provenance and four downloads: code source, equipment assets, monster assets and trainer assets. Extract all four archives into the same directory to reconstruct the complete application. The application source is GPL-3.0-only; Wiki text and Jagex game assets retain their own terms.
Scape Optimizer is an independent fan project, not affiliated with or endorsed by Jagex. Game names and artwork are attributable to Jagex; cached guide text credits OSRS Wiki contributors under CC BY-NC-SA 3.0.
The installable app caches public build assets and an offline reconnect page. It does not provide full offline calculation or save private account work, guide content, prices or search results in that offline cache. Reconnect for normal use.
