Plan a Grand Exchange investment

Allocate one GP budget across trading accounts and inspect estimated margins after tax.

Set one investment and the available slots

Open Flipping and enter the total GP you want to invest. Amounts such as 100k and 5m are supported. Add your trading accounts and record the GE slots that are currently free.

You can add up to ten account labels. Members accounts allow up to eight free slots and free-to-play accounts up to three. Changing membership clamps the slot count to the new limit. These labels do not connect to RuneScape.

  1. Enter the total investment in How much do you want to invest?, or choose a GP preset.
  2. Under Your accounts & GE slots, use Add account and enter each account label.
  3. Choose Members or Free to play and set the currently free slots; zero leaves the account out.
  4. Review Your recommended items together with Planned investment, Estimated net profit, Unused budget and GE slots used.

Read the proposed allocation

The investment is divided evenly across all available slots. Each recommended item appears once across the accounts; quantities respect its cached full four-hour buy limit. Free-to-play accounts receive only explicitly free-to-play items. Unused budget remains when no eligible item fits or buy limits leave GP over.

Buy for / item uses the lower recorded trade side as a passive buy target; Sell for / item uses the higher side as a passive sell target. Estimates subtract GE tax of 2% per item, rounded down and capped at 5 million GP per item, with the implemented exemptions applied.

Open Quote details & buy limit for the buy limit, net margin, tax and separate buy/sell trade timestamps. Use Show more items if the plan has more than the first twelve visible recommendations.

Check the market before placing offers

Reload cached prices reads the shared snapshot again; it does not request a new upstream market refresh. Opening Flipping also uses that cache. Snapshot saved is the retrieval time of the shared data, while the Buy-side trade recorded and Sell-side trade recorded values describe the underlying trades.

Candidates need known buy limits, positive after-tax margins, paired quotes recorded within one hour of snapshot retrieval, and estimated ROI no higher than 15%. That one-hour check is relative to the snapshot, not the time you open the page; a retained snapshot may be much older.

Check the in-game margin and your remaining or shared buy limits before placing offers. The cache does not supply volume, execution speed, historical charts or your account’s used allowances. A failed cache load or refresh retains the last available snapshot with its age/error visible.
